Have More Fun: Try Our Blonde Brownie Recipe
Today’s blog is going to be short and really, really sweet. Short because I have to get to the gym and go toe-to-belt with the treadmill for an hour or so. And sweet because it’s National Blonde Brownie Day.
Today, we celebrate blondies, those sans-cocoa masterpieces. Decadent. Delicious. Devoured (hence the date with the treadmill).
But it’s worth it — as they say, gentlemen prefer blondes. Try these, and you’ll see why:
- 2 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups packed brown sugar
- 1 cup softened butter
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/2 tsp salt
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine the butter, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla in a large bowl and beat until smooth. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt; add that mixture to the bowl along with peacans and white chocolate chips. Stir until everything is mixed well, then spread in a lightly greased 13×9 pan. Bake 25-30 minutes. Let them cool a little bit, then cut while they’re still warm. Enjoy along with milk in your favorite mug.
