A Devilish Halloween Treat

In my house you can never start planning for Halloween too early. Let’s face it the best costumes, tricks, treats and parties don’t just happen over Devil’s Night. With that for inspiration, here’s a quick, simple and delicious appetizer – – with a Halloween twist – – that’s perfect for any ghoulish gathering: Bedeviled Eggs

12 hard-boiled eggs, peeled
½ cup mayonnaise
1 ½ tablespoons mustard
1/3 cup crumbled bacon
Salt
Pepper
Onion powder
Hot sauce
Paprika
Carrot, julienned

Halve the eggs; remove yolks and place in mixing bowl.
Place egg whites on tray.

In mixing bowl add the mayonnaise, mustard and bacon.
Salt and pepper to taste.
Add a dash or two of onion powder (if desired).
Grab your favorite cayenne pepper hot sauce (I prefer Tabasco), and add a healthy shake or two.
Combine and mix until creamy.
Fill egg whites with yolk mixture.

Cut the julienned carrots into appropriate “horn” size and place 2 in each egg halve to bedevil them up for Halloween.

Sprinkle with paprika.
Cover and refrigerate until serving.
