Spice Up That Raspberry Tea

Spiced Raspberry Tea
Yield: 4 servings
- 4 cups water
- 2 Tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 cup mashed raspberries
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 6 whole cloves
- 2 large strips fresh lemon zest
- 4 tea bags, such as black tea, green tea or herbal tea
- 1/2 cup raspberries
Bring the water and sugar to a boil in a medium sauce pot, stirring until the sugar is dissolved.
Remove the water from the heat and add the mashed raspberries, cinnamon stick, cloves, lemon zest and tea bags.
Allow the tea to steep for 3 to 5 minutes.
Remove the tea bags.
Place a strainer over the serving cups then pour the tea into the cups.
Top each cup with the remaining raspberries and serve.
